Club Solo Adelaide

Fri. Aug. 13 Najjars. Starts 7.30pm. Coffee and cake and ice cream, or have a meal there are great specials on Friday nights these days.

Sat. Aug. 21. Ten Pin Bowling @ Goodwood Bowl at Cross Road. Starts 7.30pm(Sharp). Cost for 2 games and shoe hire $15, if we have enough vouchers. So please bring along entertainment book or shoppa docket vouchers. Bookings required by Aug. 17. They will go to McCafe across the road after for supper.

Sun. Sept. 5. Adelaide Zoo. Meet out the front @ 1.30pm (be on time please). After the Zoo we will go to a Cafe in Rundle St for a coffee. Bookings essential by August 21 for booking a session with the Panda's. Cost $28.50 adult & $20.50 for pensioners.

Sat. Nov. 20. The Irish Club in Carrington Street. Starts 7.45pm. Come along for an Irish Jigg and some fun. Bring a plate of Nibbles to share. You can buy drinks at the Irish Club. Cost around $8 entry for a night full of fun.

Club Solo Brisbane (formerly "The Pines" Christian Singles)

Fri. July 30 to Sun. Aug 1. Mapleton Singles & Solos Camp. If you are single or single again this retreat has been designed especially for you. Be ready for a surprise for there is some great stuff we have organised for you. This one really comes along with a buzz!!! Special Guest speaker on loan from PCS is Rev Lionel Rose. Sat. Aug. 7. Trip to Glass House Mountains. Meet at 10am near the Bakery in the Township of Glass House Mountains (1st set of shops Map 116 in the UBD). You will be climbing Mt Ngungun one of the smaller Glass Houses but with excellent views half way up and at the top. It is a medium walk requiring medium fitness with a few loose rocks, so good shoes and be ready for a climb. Bring some water, a jacket (chilly on top) and a lunch you can eat on top of Ngungun. Sat. Aug. 28. Bus Trip to Caloundra. Bus Leaves Strathpine @ 8am, Pickup @ Bribie McDonalds @ 8.30am. Proceeds to Maloia Ave Jetty. Discover spectacular history and beautiful wild life in the Pumicestone passage Marine Park. Perhaps a swim at Kings Beach. Cost - Bus trip $25 members, $27 non-members. (includes Ferry). Sat. Sept. 25. Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?? The committee top dog couldn’t come up with something for the night so he thought “Let’s do something dangerously different”. Why not have volunteer individuals invite others over to their place for Dinner and a discussion. Here’s the challenge. Can this be organised without being organised yet nobody is left home alone?

The volunteer leader’s task is to organise a group of 5 to 8 people to bring a dish for dinner or dessert and include people you wouldn’t normally ask. Can we find those people who haven’t been for a while?
